Dr Shy Shoham will be presenting "Holographic patterned neuro-stimulation for vision restoration" at a special lecture on June 13 at 2 pm in BST3 Room 6014. Dr Shoham is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics from Tel Aviv University and conducted his Ph.D. research in Bioengineering with Richard Normann at the University of Utah, working on Brain Machine Interfaces. He was a Lewis-Thomas postdoctoral fellow working with Sam Wang at the department of Molecular Biology, Princeton University. In March 2005 he joined the Technion's faculty of Biomedical Engineering, where he established the Neural Interface Engineering laboratory. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Neural Engineering.
