Dr. Akrit Sodhi will lecture on “Diabetic Eye Disease: All Roads Do Not Lead to VEGF”
Akrit Sodhi, M.D, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of vitreoretinal diseases.
Dr. Sodhi obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Davis. He joined the Wilmer faculty in 2010. Dr. Sodhi’s research interests, currently sponsored by a grant from the National Eye Institute, include the examination of the role of hypoxia inducible factor (HIF) in ocular disease.
