Dr. Andrew Williams graduated from Yale University with a BA in History of Science/History of Medicine. He then matriculated at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where he earned his MD degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed ophthalmology residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is pursuing glaucoma fellowship at the Duke University Eye Center from 2020-2021. His research focuses on improving healthcare delivery in ophthalmology by focusing on patient education, patient preferences, and system-based changes to broaden delivery of eye care. His work in these areas has been published in journals that include Survey of Ophthalmology, Preventive Medicine, Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science, and JAMA Ophthalmology.
