Objectives: Upon completion of this conference the resident/student should have an understanding of the principles guiding the use of glaucoma medications and should be able to:

• List the classes of glaucoma medications, their mechanisms and their side effects
• Describe the approach to medical management of the patient with:
  • Open Angle Glaucoma
  • Angle Closure Glaucoma
  • Pregnancy and Nursing
• Describe the role that compliance problems plays in the treatment of glaucoma
