Dr. Sunil K Srivastava is a practicing ophthalmologist specializing in uveitis, medical and surgical vitreoretinal diseases at the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland OH. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics from Cornell University. He graduated summa cum laude from the State University of NY at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency training at Emory University where he served as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases at the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health. He then completed a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at Duke University. He was a former assistant professor of ophthalmology at Emory University and then joined the Cole Eye Institute in 2010. He is the current Program Director of the Medical and Surgical Vitreo-Retinal Fellowships. He has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and delivered over 200 invited podium lectures. He has been awarded multiple teaching awards and innovator awards at the Cleveland Clinic. He has received the Senior Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Senior Honor Award and the Presidential Award from the American Society of Retinal Specialists. He holds 11 patents in imaging analysis. His current research interests include imaging biomarkers of inflammatory diseases, intraoperative surgical imaging and automated imaging analysis. He currently leads a uveitis imaging research lab at the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. He is married to his wife Rachel and has two children (Samuel (16) and Reena (13)).
