Objectives:  At the conclusion of the conference the resident will have an understanding of the principles of ray tracing and prism optics.

Reading Assignment:  Please read David Guyton's Ophthalmic Optics and Clinical Refraction pages 3-10 and 18-19.  Additonal information may be obtained in Mark Wilkinson's Essential Optics Review pages 18-20 and 37-39.
