The Impaired Physician

Objectives: At the conclusion of this conference the resident/student should be able to explain the ethical approach they would take in dealing with issues related to an impairment of themselves or a colleague in the field.

Reading Assignment: Please read Case Study #12: The Impaired Ophthalmologist in the The Profession of Ophthalmology (The red book in the BCSC series that you haven't opened this year) In addition, please read Boisaubin and Levine,  Identifying and Assisting the Impaired Physician attached.

Note: Faculty who attend this session are eligible for ethics CME.
