UPMC is proud to announce the 25th Anniversary Retina Symposium celebrating 25 years of the retina service at UPMC Eye Center. The event will take place on December 10 at the Fairmont Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. Invited speakers include previous residents and fellows of the  program:

Anthony Capone, MD, Richard Rothman, MD, Thierry Verstraeten, MD, Angana Shah, MD, as well as Ken Wals, MD and Denise Gallagher, MD.

In addition, Dr. Carol Shields, Wills Eye Institute, will be awarded the Muse Prize during the symposium. This award is being given in recognition of Dr. Shields’ contributions to medicine in ocular oncology.
