Dr. Gianmarco Vizzeri will present, "Effects of Microgravity on Ocular Structures and Visual Functions", at the UPMC Eye Center on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 7am in the 9th Floor Conference Room.
Dr. Vizzeri is a glaucoma specialist with the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He serves patients at UTMB Eye Centers in Friendswood and Galveston. He also is medical director for the department's Ophthalmology Clinical Research Center. Before joining the department, he completed a clinical and research fellowship at the Hamilton Glaucoma Center in the Department of Ophthalmology, University of California San Diego in La Jolla, California. He served his ophthalmology residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Turin in Italy, where he also earned his medical degree in medicine and surgery.
