Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma

Objectives: Upon completion of this conference the resident/student should have an understanding of angle-closure glaucoma and should be able to:

  • Describe the Pathogenesis and Pathophysiology of angle closure including:
    • Pupillary block
    • Angle closure without papillary block
    • Lens-induced angle closure
    • Iris-induced angle closure
  • Describe the clinical features, differential diagnosis, diagnostic evaluation, therapy and prognosis of
    • Primary Angle Closure
    • Plateau Iris
