COMPREHENSIVE OPHTHALMOLOGIST TO JOIN MULTISPECIALTY EYE CARE GROUP IN NEW ENGLAND
Partnership track position:
This is an associate position with an excellent escalating base salary and productivity bonus formula for the first 3 years. Full partnership will be offered to those who fulfill well defined and achievable benchmarks. Our history is that every former associate has been elevated to a partnership position.
Our offer includes excellent benefits, 401k pension plan, health insurance and an education allowance.
We encourage well qualified 3rd year residents without fellowship training to apply for this position with start date in the summer of 2012.
Glaucoma fellowship training would complement our existing areas of strength, but is certainly not essential to be seriously considered as a candidate for this position.
Who we are:
We are 6 board certified ophthalmologists, 4 with sub—specialty fellowship training (pediatrics/strabismus, oculoplastics, cornea/refractive, and retina). Our 2 comprehensive ophthalmologists began this eye care practice over 30 years ago. We currently employ 2 experienced optometrists and 7 licensed opticians. Overall, we have 60+ employees. We enjoy a reputation as an established hard-working, ethical group striving to deliver excellent comprehensive and sub—specialty eye care.
Our offices:
We have 4 offices (New Haven County and Fairfield County), 30 examination lanes, state of the art equipment, 4 optical shops, and partial ownership in an ASC.
Our location:
This is a suburban practice located 1.5 hours from Manhattan and 2 hours from Boston. Our location lends itself to an affiliation with the Yale University Department of Ophthalmology, participation in grand rounds and resident teaching opportunities.

Dear Ophthalmology Residency Program Director or Chairman:
Eye Physicians & Surgeons, PC, of Connecticut would like to enlist your help in our search for a well-trained General Ophthalmologist to add to our growing practice with a start date of Summer 2012. This is a wonderful opportunity for a current 3rd year Ophthalmology resident to join a long established and busy practice of 6 Ophthalmologists, many of whom practice exclusively in their sub-specialty.
Successful candidates must be proficient in cataract surgery including clear cornea topical experience. Those with fellowship training in glaucoma will be able to develop a referral glaucoma practice; yet they should anticipate a primary focus on comprehensive ophthalmology including cataract surgery.
Please pass along the attached job description to any of your graduating trainees who you can wholeheartedly endorse for a partnership-track position in New England.
Darron A. Bacal, M.D.
